** New national HS 1,500-meter record-holder and Bronxville NY jr Mary Cain raced to a 17:59.8 victory over the 5,000 meter distance, pacing her team to the D1 victory and topping Valley Central NY sr Holly Cavalluzzo (18:23.0). Bronxville scored 30 to Valley Central’s 57, with Suffern NY third with 61.

** Warwick Valley NY frosh Megan Reilly won the D2 race in 18;15.0, the second-fastest girls’ time of the day. Warwick had the second-best overall team score.

** Carmel NY sr Eric Holt won the D1 boys race in 15:26.6, the best time of the day. Don Bosco NJ took the D1 team affair over Warwick, 25-50, and D2 winner Pope John Paul NY was third best overall.
